In the morning, your personal safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha. The drive to Tarangire National Park takes you along a well-maintained tarmac road, passing through the picturesque Masai plains dotted with acacia trees. Along the way, you’ll encounter Masai in their vibrant attire, walking along the roadside, riding bicycles, herding livestock, or driving donkey carts.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its impressive elephant herds. From the open roof of your safari vehicle, you’ll explore the seasonal swamps, savanna, and the Tarangire River. Keep an eye out for animals like zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes. You might even spot a lion stalking its prey or a leopard lounging in the trees. After an unforgettable game drive, you’ll leave the park and head to a nearby campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll travel towards the fertile highlands, where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn. As you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll catch stunning views of the Ngorongoro Crater—a truly breathtaking sight. By midday, you’ll arrive at the iconic Serengeti National Park.

The Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest national park, boasts diverse landscapes, including grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannas, and mountains. This park is renowned for hosting the world’s largest migration of wildebeests and zebras. Depending on the season, you may witness thousands of animals moving across the plains in search of food and water—a spectacle like no other.

After an exhilarating game drive through this wildlife-rich area, you’ll head to your campsite to enjoy a delicious dinner and settle in for an overnight stay.

Accommodation:

Sound of Silence Tented lodge

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti National Park, a haven for diverse wildlife. The Serengeti is home to various animals, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos. However, it’s most famous for the spectacular migration of zebras and wildebeest. The migration follows the rains and varies each year. From November to December, herds journey south from the northern woodlands and hills to the expansive grassy plains. During the long rainy season, from April to June, the herds travel back to the northern region.

In addition to witnessing the awe-inspiring migration, you may encounter predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always on the lookout.

At the end of your thrilling day, return to your campsite for a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Accommodation:

After an early breakfast, set out for another exciting game drive in the Serengeti, where you may have the chance to spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. The animals roam freely across the expansive, unfenced reserves, providing you with a truly immersive game-viewing experience.

As you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Crater, catch your first glimpse of the stunning landscape that awaits you the next day – sparkling streams, vast open grasslands, and an abundance of wildlife.

Spend the night at a campsite perched on the crater’s edge, with the warm glow of sunset casting its orange hues across the landscape as you fall asleep under the stars.

Early risers are treated to stunning views of the sun rising over the crater’s edge. After a hearty breakfast, embark on an exciting drive down the rugged track into the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage site, formed millions of years ago, is 610 meters deep and spans approximately 260 square kilometers. Home to around 25,000 animals, the crater offers the best game viewing in all of Tanzania.

Within minutes, you’ll spot wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and an impressive variety of more than 500 bird species. With a bit of luck, you may even glimpse the endangered black rhino grazing in the tall grass.

After a fulfilling day of wildlife encounters, enjoy lunch before ascending the crater's steep walls and heading to your campsite for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation:

Ngorongoro Farmhouse lodge

After breakfast, head to your final destination on this unforgettable safari – Lake Manyara National Park. Located just 120km west of Arusha, this relatively small but diverse park is home to a stunning range of landscapes. The park’s namesake, Lake Manyara, is a shallow salt lake that floods and dries with the seasons, attracting thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.

As you explore the park, you’ll encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and elephants. With a bit of luck, you might even spot lions lounging in the trees, a unique behavior for this region. Lake Manyara is also renowned for its varied terrain, which includes open grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs.

After a thrilling game drive, you’ll return to Arusha, arriving in the early evening to conclude your safari adventure.
